Expertise offered In world practice a plenty of retardants are regularly used for civil and military technical equipment, creation of foam, textiles, electronics and other fire-resistant products. In the Saratov area there are the manufactures using in the work cycles brominated flame retardants (BFRs). The most dangerous are haloid - containing substances. These enterprises are good base for monitoring sources of especially dangerous polluting substances, for estimation of consequences of such pollution for ground and water (in particular for the grounds of agricultural purpose) and working off the technologies of their replacement by more safe. In this connection the purpose of research is: On the basis of the international and domestic scientific and technical experience, on the basis of the industrial enterprises of the Saratov region to carry out the analysis and to make the review of conditions of functional materials and technological decisions on application of alternative safe fire-resistant materials and as consequence, to make the suggestion to close or redesign the manufacture of highly toxic BFRs (haloid - containing retardants) and to exclude them from use at the enterprises. Problems to be solved and results:
  1. The complex analysis of ecologically dangerous haloid - containing retardants and technologies of their production;
  2. The analysis of the possible safe alternatives accessible to use in a national economy;
  3. Development of replacement technologies of haloid - containing retardants on alternative ones, in particular on development of compounding and technology of synthesis of new ecologically safe connections (retardants), accessible to use;
  4. Development of application technologies of organic additives of various sort, capable to lower ecological and fire danger (concentration of the formed coke, temperature of flash, heat of burning, etc.) previously developed functional materials proof to burning;
  5. Development of models of the industrial introduction which are taking into account ecological and industrial risks, and also an estimation of ecological efficiency and availability to introduction at the various enterprises;
  6. Approbation of the offered technologies at the enterprises;
  7. Carrying out of the information actions directed on attraction of attention of the public and administrations of the industrial enterprises on introduction of more safe alternatives of ecologically dangerous manufactures.
As a result of the project will be:
  1. The opportunity of introduction of alternative technical decisions accessible to application in industrial production of the materials possessing significant ecological safety, low toxicity and the increased fire resistance is analyzed;
  2. Potential perspectivity of alternative fire resistant materials with actual demonstration in concrete products with the analysis of a degree of ecological and vital risk from their introduction is appreciated;
  3. Physical and chemical parameters and operational characteristics of materials and the technologies being alternatives haloid - containing retardants are received;
  4. The models of industrial introduction which are taking into account ecological and industrial risks, and also an estimation of ecological efficiency and availability to introduction at the various enterprises are developed;
  5. Approbation of the offered technologies is carried out and offers for the further introduction are prepared.
