Short description of the organization (max 12 lines):
Kursk State Technical University, one of the leading institutions of higher education of the Russian Federation, was founded in 1964.The University is proud of a great team of professors and teachers. High-qualified specialists, bachelors, masters and post-graduate students are trained in 65 fields. Scientific activity is widely developed in the following directions: computer technologies, bioengineering, physics, chemistry, economy, jurisprudence, other technical and humanity sciences. In 1991 the first set of students on economic specialists took place.
Scientific school Scientists work out strategic priorities of regional development of Kursk and Belgorod areas. Results of work of the Scientific school are the following projects: "the Basic directions of development of agriculture till 2010","the Program of social and economic development of region till 2010 together with Open Society« РОЭЛ Consulting »(Moscow),« Research of innovative potential of the Belgorod region for the purpose of creation and development of the centre of a transfer of technologies », Strategy of social and economic development of Kursk area till 2020, confirmed by the ministry of regional development and trade of the Russian Federation, and Strategy of social and economic development of the Belgorod region till 2025.
Tendencies of world development testify a transition to a stage of the innovative socially-focused economy.
Modeling economy based on knowledge assumes creation of conditions for transformation of scientific and technical potential into one of the basic resources of steady economic growth.
One of global calls of the forthcoming long-term period is the expected new wave of technological changes strengthening a role of innovations in social and economic development and reducing influence of many traditional factors of growth.
World experience shows that in formation and development of innovative business in the industry along with the large enterprises small ones also play a considerable role. Small enterprises possess a high Market mobility, provide development of a segment of new technological workings out. Small business takes a special place in economic system, not only providing growth of employment and decrease in social intensity, but it also is the major factor of maintenance of an innovative component of economic growth.
It is supposed as the contribution to the chosen project to develop and scientifically to prove mechanisms of commercialization of intellectual property on the basis of elements of an innovative infrastructure (technoparks, innovative parks, etc.) that will promote generation of a new wave of small innovative business in European Union and Russian Federation territory and will provide not only innovative development of territories, but also creation of new workplaces at these enterprises that is especially actual in the conditions of world financial crisis.
Assistance commercialization results of scientific and technical activity is promoted by development ofan innovative infrastructure of the Kursk state technical university providing service support for successful valorization of scientific and technical production of scientists.
In the Kursk State Technical University the considerable scientific potential in various directions of a science and techniques is concentrated: instrument making, mechanical engineering, information and telecommunication technologies, nanotechnologies, a robotics, power and others that allow to carry out the large complex scientific researches directed both on realization of priority directions of development of a science, technologies and techniques, and on support of educational process. The innovative sector of KurskSTU includes the engineering, scientific and scientifically-methodical centres, the research and research-and-production laboratories which functioning promotes increase of efficiency of scientific researches carried out in the university. During 2006-2008 scientists of the KurskSTU received more than 400 patents and certificates on registration of the computer programs, 36 patents were commercialized.
Presence of the innovative environment forming an infrastructure promotes that the university can represent itself as base of carrying out of the effective innovative activity directed on creation of mechanisms, providing acceleration of working out and transfer new high technology techniques and technologies in industrial-economic activities.
Presence of a serious scientific and technical reserve in various areas can be realized in the form of pre-production models and final technologies which become a basis for creation of the small innovative enterprises on the territory of the European Union and joint enterprises.
The working group is ready to systematize available scientific and technical workings out of scientists of KurskSTU, and also other universities of the Russian Federation, to carry out together with colleagues from the European Union inventory of offers and to expertise (if it is possible) their commercialization on the basis of the small innovative enterprises. It is offered to develop the theory and methodology of commercialization of the Russian intellectual property on the basis of the small innovative enterprises created on the territory of Europe, and also to take an active part in realization of the offered innovative projects.
