Short description of the organization (max 12 lines): SEC "Knowledge Genesis" Ltd. (acronym - KG) is a software engineering company headquartered in Samara (Russia) with core experience and competences in multi-agent and knowledge-based solutions. These solutions provide innovative approach for intelligent, flexible and pro-active interactions between clients and service providers in real time. It was founded in 1997.
Today KG is one of the leading software engineering companies in Russia and former CIS which specializes in development of commercial multi-agent systems for industrial applications. At the moment the company's R&D activity is focused on designing and prototyping distributed intelligent systems which demonstrate so called “swarm intelligence” arising from interplay, competition and cooperation (or “competition”) between hundred thousands of software agents – small decision making programs working autonomously and asyncronically (co-programms) but in coordinated way, like a colony of ants or swarm of bees. Currently team is working on new generation of swarm intelligence systems which will be built as p2p networks of swarms with smarm-to-swarm negotiations
Expertise offered Proposal title: AdNET - Software Platform for Adaptive Networks of Intelligent Services based on Real Time Knowledge–Based Multi-Agent Schedulers of Small and Medium Enterprises and Mobile Users
Functionality: The core functionality of the platform and solutions will be to provide coordinated distributed scheduling of services and mobile resources of small and medium enterprises (SME) for mobile users with the use of personal schedulers of users tasks.
Multi-agent schedulers of SME services and multi-agent personal schedulers for users will be able to react to events, dynamically form and adapt their schedules to user needs, preferences and constraints, directly interact with all parties involved, monitor execution of plans and coordinate their services in real time with the use of SME domain knowledge and user profile, geographical position and other context-driven information, as well as discovering and contacting users semantically and pro-actively on the fly.
Designed platform and solution will allow SME and other companies to create services in Internet and easily describe the context of their services.
For providing targeted approach to services delivery mobile users and SME will get online ontology constructor for collective designing domain ontologies which will help them to define their profiles and context of services and their resources of any kind in Internet, for example, in tourism area it could be hotels and museums, restaurants, shops, entertaiment services, etc. Agents of services will read this info and perform matching with user agents which have access to user profiles, preferences and constraints, as well as for current needs (based on personal task schedules of users).
This approach will allow companies and enterprises to create services in Internet and easily describe the context of their services. Our concept is based on presenting semantically enriched information about different services provided by organizations and personal tasks of mobile users. As a result, a radically new paradigm and framework for services provision will be developed and approbated on practice applied to several applications.
Expected results.
The project will result in:
  • Pioneering R&D in Emergent Intelligence for future Internet services,
  • Platform and technology for providing next-generation Internet services offered by virtual organizations to mobile users on top of an Internet of services based on multi-agent knowledge-based scheduling solutions,
  • Solution for services for wide range of applications;
  • Solutions for personal scheduler with wide range of applications;
  • Development of new ontological models of business activities and services offered by different organizations, ontology templates for several business domains;
  • Development of new dynamic and composite business models for delivery of intelligent services,
  • Development of models of agents and methods of multi-agent interaction for finding best possible matches between demand and supply (requirements and services) for targeted services delivery.
The project results will help to address problems of modern enterprises and take advantage of fusion between the real world needs of customers and targeted services offered virtually.
Type of partner(s) sought: EU SME or non-commercial organization (leader user) from different domains for providing business requirements for i-Services and i-Scheduler, Platform testing, quality assurance, dissemination of project results. For example, it may be a leader of network of cafés, tourist companies, wash-houses, hairdressing saloons, health protection organizations or others.

Description of previous and present experience in International Cooperation Software engineering company “Knowledge Genesis” cooperate with universities, research institutions and commercial organizations in Russia and from abroad in the domain of IT research and development since 2000.
In 2000 Knowledge Genesis won IST grant for creating consortsium and has built such consortium with German and French companies. We have submitted proposal but it was not accepted because of change of political situation as a result of internal Caucasus war.
After that we made a number of small projects with Igro (UK), Planet group (USA) and some other companies.
In recent times we established good partnership with Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Cologne, Germany).
