Short description of the organization (max 12 lines):
The Kursk state technical university in the spring of 2009 will celebrate its 45-th anniversary. The university carries out preparation of experts, bachelors, masters and post-graduate students more than in 60 directions. Scientific activity in following directions is widely developed: computer technologies, bioengineering, physics, chemistry, economy, jurisprudence, another technical and to the humanities. The centre of collective using "High technologies" is created with a view of the organisation, carrying out and personnel maintenance of the research works aimed at practical realisation of scientific workings out in nanotechnology sphere. The centre of collective using "High technologies” has the equipment for diagnostics and research of nanomaterials: an atomno-power microscope (1 nanometer), an atomno-power microscope integrated with a microspectrometer for research combinational(ramanovskogo) light dispersion (50 nanometers), mass chromatograph TraceMS EI/70+250, power dispersive Roentgenfluorescent spectrometer EDX-720/800HS/900H, chromatograph AgilentTechnologies, spectrophotometer UV-1800. The centre of collective using \"High technologies\" has agreements on scientific cooperation with a number of the academic institutes and universities.
For realisation of again found out effect of the elastic-induced magnetic reversal in a monocrystal plate, for example, orthoferrite, borate gland or another weak ferromagnetic is created steady two-domain structure with rectilinear single domain border. Movement of domain border is caused by a pulse magnetic field a created current in numerous steams of thin-film coils of Gelmgoltsa type created by a photolithographic method with the minimum diameter, on planes of the sample. In pulse magnetic fields the domain border moves with speeds close to sound speeds. Additional constant mechanical pressure in size of an order of several GPa, allowing essentially to lower power consumption, or overcomings by domain border of a sound barrier, or set of the specified influences on a plate weak ferromagnetic cause it is elastic the induced mechanism of magnetic reversal (backs- reorientation transition). It is thus realised it is abnormal high speed of distribution with magnetooptical contrast not worse 50 %. It allows to receive reduction up to tens femtosecond speeds of switching. Advantages before known analogues: Offered magnetooptical modulator of the electromagnetic radiation constructed on the basis of again found out effect of the elastic-induced magnetic reversal has no analogues. Unlike traditionally used modulators of electromagnetic radiation the offered one possesses: • the lowered power consumption; • the expanded working range of temperatures, from 400 K and to ultralow helium less than 4.2 K that is especially important for processing of electromagnetic signals at their passage through superconducting environments; • highest of reached by this time speed which does not exceed ten femtoseconds. Area of practical application: The offered modulator can be used in the telecommunication organisations which are engaged in high-speed processing and transfer of the big files of the information; at the enterprises of the products occupied with manufacture of optoelectronic technics. Economic benefit: Now by results of the spent researches the patent of the Russian Federation is held. There is a variety of scientific publications in foreign and domestic magazines. The experimental breadboard model of the magnetooptical modulator of electromagnetic radiation on effect of elastic -induced magnetic reversal is created. For working out of industrial samples of modulators with the specified parametres additional scientific and developmental researches are required. The account part of works is acquisition of the radio-electronic equipment and accessories for manufacturing of really operating elements and devices, scientific research works about 4.0 million rubles is required. The profitable part is developing tendencies and steady growth of speeds of processing of the information, expansion of a temperature range of work of elements and devices up to ultralow temperatures for again created quantum computers, does more and more uncontested application of this sort of devices. Cost of products can vary from 50 to 200 thousand rbl. for units that specifies in short enough term reinnovation and high size of the added cost.
