Short description of the organization (max 12 lines):
Astrakhan state university (ASU) was founded in 1932. Now it is known as one of the largest multi-purpose educational institutions in the Caspian region. Astrakhan state university has old traditions of academic activity and it is one of the most quickly modernising universities in Russia. Many scientists working at the university are widely known not only in Russia, but also abroad thanks to their serious contribution to various spheres of science. ASU is classical university which realizes researches and student's training in most sections of modern science including physics and mathematics, information and comunication technologies, socio-economic sciences and humanities, jurisprudence, history, biology, food, agriculture and fisheries, biotechnology, environment and security, nanosciences, etc.
We offer the complex estimation system of biocompatibility of nanocarbon materials. Our results allow to show the influence of nanocarbon materials on the different functional systems of the organism and to develop the ways of protection and reduction of the risk for person who contacts with nanomaterials on production, transportation and other technological operations. The nanodiamond composite is investigated. The carbon composite materials based on nanodiamonds have been developed by us for such applications. The composite (NDC - Nano Diamond Composites) consists of the carbon nanofragments of two types: nanodiamond particles (medium size 4-6 nm) and nano-sized graphite-like matrix connecting them to a three- dimension composite. By varying of preparation conditions it is possible to prepare materials with different effective thickness of the graphite-like matrix on the surface of nanodiamond particles (from 0.2 to more then 1 nm). The NDC materials are high-porous carbon composite bodies: a pore volume is ranging from 30 to 60 vol%, and an effective pore size of 7+2 nm. Our investigation of the nanodiamond composite showed the bioprotector properties of the material, because it caused the reduction of toxic action of heavy metals at its introduction together in organism. Our results motivate the development of preparation and methods of the using of the enterosorbent from nanopore material with forecasted sorbent properties. The nanodiamond composite material has high-porous that allows to adsorb of the delivered material, and relieves its transintestine carriyng. We offer the development of the materials for address delivery of drugs, bad-suction material and other active component, the creation of skin nanoplasters based on nanoporous material and the system for cultivation of cells. The system includes the nanodiamond composite material, which allows to accumulate the biologically active components from cultural ambience, and then return it to cultivated tissues for measure of need.
