Expertise offered At the Department of Physical chemistry and chemical technology of the Kursk State Technical University some persons of the teaching staff, post-graduate students and students make investigations associated with interaction of carboxylic acids with heavy metals and their oxides. The processes are carried out under conditions of strong mechanical actions on solid surfaces of metals and oxides in organic and aqueous-organic mediums. These chemical reactions are considered to be impossible but actually they are disposed to rapid self-stopping at initial stages of the process. Such processes are important for preventing wearing out of moving elements of machines and equipment. Moreover they make it possible to prepare salts of many carboxylic acids in one-stage technological processes according to the following scheme

Publications on the topic (other references) The work is headed by a doctor of chemistry, professor Ivanov A.M. He is an author of 2 books more than scientic articles, and 20 patents concerning heavy metal carboxylates preparation. Also 14 Candidate dissertations on this subject have been defended.
