Short description of the organization (max 12 lines): The mean age of the research team is <40 years, and the centre has 109 research workers. Cooperation with young and developing Kemerovo State Medical Academy and other research institutions of Kemerovo region, such as Novokuznetsk Extension Course Institute for Medical Practitioners and the Research Institute for General Intensive Care. The centre possesses all necessary laboratory and clinical facilities and equipment which let obtain and study the data on polyvascular atherosclerosis patients of Kemerovo region (the total of 3 mln. patients with 2500 patients for conservative or surgical revascularization treatment per year). There is an extensive base for a patient’s clinical assessment: computed tomography and magnetic-resonance imaging, electroneurophysiology and angiography methods.
Expertise offered Large number of patients with monovascular and polyvascular atherosclerotic disease and diverse vascular lesions: coronary, brachiocephalic, abdominal aorta. All necessary equipment for clinical, laboratory and experimental research, including flowcytometry, whole-genome gene expression analysis, DNA sequencing, immunoenzymatic methods, microarray technology (genomics and proteomics), immunohistochemical methods. The laboratory has a vivarium for small and medium-sized lab animals. Cooperation with the chairs of Kemerovo Medical Academy – chairs of Biochemistry, Pathophysiology, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery – with >50 residents and postgraduate students annually.
