Cooperation / Information And Communication Technologies - ICT / Cognitive Systems, Interaction, Robotics

Proposal:

FP7-ICT-2007-3 ICT-2007.2.2, ICT-2007.4.4 Area: Image searching based on image content analisis

The brief description of the project: Effective image searching in LANs and databases demand automatic generation of images descriptors. For image descriptor generation used image statistics characters, and images similarity estimates using characters distance calculation. For image descriptor generation uses colors, textures, structural image analysis. Image searching needs pattern image. The developed method allows analyzing images using their histogram characters and to find images similarity on pattern image (i.e. images containing forest, ocean, buildings fragments likes on pattern image).

Expected results: Effective image searching required additional analysis of texture, structural, contours image characters. Developing methods may be used for image searching in databases and LANs, for searching specified events in video stream (in machine vision systems)
