Report on a trip to the OWWZ


On 16 - 20 October 2007 delegates of the CBS RIP, Voronezh State University, Russian NCP Bio (A.N. Bach Institute of Biochemistry, RAS) and also the South Federal University (Rostov-upon-Don) and Altay State Technical University where will be established Regional Information Points for Scientific and Technological Cooperation with EU in the framework of RegionERA project, visited East-West-Science-Centre in Kassel (Germany) in order to study its expertise and German system of information and consulting support of participation in FP7.

A three-day visit programme included presentations on institutions from all levels of arranging information and consulting support of German participation in FP7: the EU Office of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, KoWi, German NCP Network for Environment and Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities, Hessen Innovation Relay Centre and Euro-Info-Center Berlin, the EU officers in universities of Kassel, Göttingen and Frankfurt and also East-West-Science-Centre, Kassel University.

There was a discussion on the issues of scientific and technological cooperation and prospects of joint Russian-German participation in FP7 and meetings with individiual researchers.
