 Russia-EU scientific and educational cooperation:
state-of-the-art and challenges of Russian participation in European programmes

At the Voronezh State University there was held the information day and training session “Russia-EU scientific and educational cooperation: state-of-the-art and challenges of Russian participation in European programmes” organized by the BILAT-RUS-Advanced project and embedded into the formal schedule of the project events during the lifetime of the EU-Russia Year of Science.

The main purpose of the event was to make a contribution into awareness raising of cooperation opportunities through “Horizon 2020”, Erasmus Plus and other programmes and provide a forum for the exchange of views on the ways of development tools for support of EU-Russia S&T cooperation and strengthening STI links between Russia and the EU.

The representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Russia, National office Erasmus+ in Russia, Moscow Branch Office of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), German House of Science and Innovation (DWIH), inno TSD (France), Centre for Innovation and Technology in NRW (Germany), Austrian Research Promotion Agency (Austria), SC2 and LEIT Biotechnology NCP, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of Moldova Academy of Sciences (Moldova), Higher School of Economics (National Research University), A.N. Bach Institute of Biochemistry of RAS and the Centre for international projects and programmes of the Voronezh State University gave presentations and provided training session in association with other speakers.

The information day and training session was incorporated into the qualification courses for Russian researchers and administrative staff under the programme "International Scientific and Educational Projects. Management of Education Quality" that lasted from the 15 th till 19 th of September.

Participants are about 100 delegates of the universities from Voronezh, Moscow, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Nizhnevartovsk, Penza, Tyumen’ and Yekaterinburg. The event was completed with award of state-recognised certificates of Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
